Amazon.com Product Description

Limited in space but still want a great cardiovascular workout? Look no further than the Stamina InStride electronic stepper, which offers a footprint of only 12 inches wide by 16 inches long. As a result, you can use your InStride stepper just about anywhere--in front of the TV, while on the phone, in your sunroom, outside on the patio, or even at work. The InStride stepper is even small enough to toss into a workout bag and take on vacation. The stepper is equipped with two hydraulic cylinders that create a stepping motion similar to those of commercial stair steppers. As you step, you work your calves, thighs, buttocks, and core while boosting your cardio, helping you burn calories and fat. The InStride's battery-operated multifunction fitness monitor, meanwhile, times each workout and counts the number of steps, so you can stay motivated and on track to reach your fitness goals.

Construction details include a steel frame and wide, textured foot pedals for stability. The InStride, which weighs 20 pounds, carries a one-year warranty on the frame and a 90-day warranty on parts.

About Stair Steppers Stair steppers continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same benefits as running stairs, but with the "any time, in any weather, without having to leave the comfort and safety of your home" convenience. Stair steppers don't take up much space, require moderate balance and coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors.

Following on the heels of treadmills and exercise bikes, stair steppers took their first step towards fitness machine success in the early 1980s. Like most exercise equipment, stair steppers have come a long way technically speaking. For example, advanced computers on most new models allow users to track their vitals at a glance. However, the most crucial benefits of stair steppers remain the impacts of cardiovascular and muscle tone fitness. Stair steppers continue to offer an exercise that is less jarring than treadmills, but more intense than elliptical trainers.

Wysalea Petri Said: High Steppin ( Nov. 12th 2009 )
Works great for me. I added 5# weights & it's just what I want for a fun workout to some of my favorite music. Great product.
M. Forbes Said: my favorite machine ( Oct. 16th 2009 )
I love this machine. I've had it for about 2 years and never had a problem besides the squeak. None of the pieces ever broke and I use it 4-5 days week for 45-60 minutes. However, it is dangerous how hot the metal bars in the hydraulic pumps get; my skin literally blistered when I tried to moved it after my workout. The calorie counter is definitely not accurate but it's a great functional stepper overall.
Lisa Marks Said: Good Buy ( Oct. 11th 2009 )
This is a good exercise machine for the money. It is very compact and gives a good work-out. It might take a try or two to get the hang of it. Basically, try walking of jogging motions. I love being able to move it from room to room.
Heidi Norwood Said: Very squeaky! ( Jun. 9th 2009 )
This product is easy to assemble and use. It's perfect for me because it gets my heart rate up and I can use it in front of the TV! The only downside is that it has a loud squeak with every step.
August West Said: Avoid AAA Home Furniture Discounts! ( May. 26th 2009 )
AAA Home Furniture Discounts lacks integrity should be avoided at all costs. I have dealt with hundreds of Sellers in the Amazon Marketplace and AAA Home Furniture Discounts is by far the worst. They misrepresented the product and refused to replace damaged parts, then taunted me and said they would win against any claim I might file. They are completely unprofessional and never even sent an order acknowledgment or shipping confirmation. DO NOT REINFORCE THIS BEHAVIOR!
